"I had just done a film in England called Leon the Pig Farmer and I felt it was time to visit Hollywood, as I had never been there before. I was in Hollywood for about ten days and my manager set up some meetings for me, one of them being with the casting director of Sisters. I was offered the role of Simon Bolt but initially declined because I didn't want that kind of commitment; I wanted to be free to do other things. They kept pursuing me so I accepted, and I'm glad I did. The timing was perfect."
