I was very impressed with his work in "Leon". when I knew he

I was intrigued by Mark Frankel's role in Young Catherine in
1991, and ever since became his fan. I saw almost all of his tv and movies and
just waited to see more of his superb acting when I learned of his death. It
felt as those a part of me disappeared as he has, but he will live in my heart
as I watch over and over of the video collections that I have of his works. I
miss him dearly and I pray that his wife and children will always be well.

I will never forget the day in 1993 when I saw two "unknowns"
on PBS. Julia Ormond and Mark Frankel were FABULOUS in "Young Catherine". "Count
Orlov" took my breath away! I have since bought and copied the movie for several
friends. I saw Mark play on "Fortune Hunter" and "Kindred". Since then, I hadn't
heard anything about his career. I was SHOCKED to hear of his death!! I still
can't believe it's been 3 years!! He was a remarkable actor and will greatly be
missed!

I was in shock when I found out that Mr. Frankel was dead, I
kept wondering what had happened to his show kindred why it was cancelled I
didn't know until a couple of days ago when I looked for his photos. I don't
think that it was publizised enough because it took me this long to realize he

I was really saddened to hear of Marks death today. I had
seen him in Young Catherine a long time ago and wanted to see it again but did
not remember the title. I recently was thrilled to see it again and wrote his
name down. I didnt know he was Simon on sisters. I had always wached that and
thought how wonderful he was. I am always attracted to the dark handsome ones.
But I am glad to know that his beauty was more than skin deep and my heartfelt
sympathy goes out to his family and friends. I am so sorry that we will not be

I worked with Mark on the T.V. series Fortune Hunter, I can'
t believe he is gone. He could have been the next James Bond. He had That look
about him. He reminded me of Sean Connery in his younger days. He was good at
what he did, He payed attention to every little detail, I learned alot just

I first saw Mark on the US television show, "Sisters." I was
immediately captivated. I was also fortunate enough to see the season of
"Kindred," and anxiously awaited news if the series was a hit and would come
back for a second season. I found no information until I read a brief line in
"TV Guide" referring to the "late" Mark Frankel. I then went on-line and
discovered his untimely death in a motorcycle accident. I saw his movie
"Solitaire for 2" on cable yesterday and was once again reminded of his amazing
on-screen presence. The emotion he was able to convey jumped right off the
screen and into the living room. I have never been so consistently struck by an
actor before. His death is truly a loss to the acting profession. I am left with
the thought that his work here must have been done and it was time for him to
continue his growth on another level. Peace and love to his family, friends and
fans.

I rememeber Mark when he was on Sisters as Simon. I remember

I just rented and watched Kindred Embraced, I have to say tha

I read about his death about three years ago and after
finishing the series today, I was sooo hoping that I made a mistake and it was
another actor I was looking up, but I knew. The weird thing was, even though I
knew, when I looked him up on the net and I realized that I did not make a
mistake the first time around, my stomach dropped a little. I felt very bad for
his wife and child, because if I'm feeling this way after watching Kindred, I
can not even imagine how his family feels having had him in their lives for such
a short time. I don't know why I'm writing this, but for some reason I felt the
need to share my feelings because I have been surprisingly affected by his work.
No question, this man was talented, destined for greater things. He had the
looks, the bearing, the charisma and the gentleness; and no doubt would have

On this night I've read the first time that Mark Frankel not
lives anymore. He passed away on 1996 and I didn't now that I am shocked because
I really loved him on screen. I think I saw everything from him but the most
increadible film was Leon the pig farmer he was simply a great nice and good

Fell in love with Mark Frankel in Leon, the Pig Farmer. There
was a sweetness there that wasn't just acting. I have a Mark Frankel shelf in my
video collection. The news that he'd died was so stunning. Still makes me sad. I
miss him. Didn't know he had a family and hope his wife and children are doing
ok.

Mr. Frankel was such a tremendous actor. I only recently
heard of his death and was devestated for his young family. It is always a
pleasure to watch him perform and be carried away into the world he was

Still can't believe he's gone...Without any doubts it's a
wonderful page. I've never seen anything like this. But do you agree that even
this isn't enough for a tribute to Mark? This man made me think. Think about the
life around me, think about my own life, see that every little movement can
change the world. "Be as good as you can",he said. Isn't it a lesson? When I
learned about his death I wrote a song "Mark live on". Maybe the song is not
good but I know wherever he is he likes it and knows that a part of my soul is
in an every word of it. And it's not just "love to a sweet man on the TV
screen". Another man caught my heart and Mark caught my soul. I feel that he's
still with us. This beautiful man with sad eyes. I envy him...

Mark Frankel WOULD have been a James Bond. He'd been perfect
for it. Really tragic that he's not around anymore, I hope his family are
alright. He was great in "Solitaire for 2" and my friend says she loved him in

Young Catherine" . The moment when he kissed her hand before they were parted

I saw him first at the TV-Movie "Kindred"! Wow... i fell in
love with him (allthough I am a man,too - but his kind of portaiting Julian
touched me deep inside!) As a big fan and councilor of the supernatural
happenings in this world I have to say: No one will ever play a vampire prince
better than he did! NEVER! As a matter of fact I am a writer and when ever I
start working on my script (it will be a vampire story) I have to memories his
kind of playing. The main character is named Julian, of cause and I can only
hope that I may meet this wonderful personal touch - given by Mark - as a very

I was devasted upon learning the news regarding Mark
Frankel's sudden death in a motocycle accident. I have been attempting to locate
tapes of the entire series of Kindred the Embraced. I checked with Blockbuster

Mark Frankel was my cousin, I knew him all his life. I
watched him grow up through all of the stages of his career. We were all totally
devasted when he was killed in the accident, I passed along the same stretch of
road about 4 hours later,not realising at the time that he had died. This was
the second tragedy to hit the family because Joseph, Mark's elder brother was
killed in May 1990 whilst flying his beloved Tiger Moth aircraft at Redhill,
England. They were a smashing couple of boys, a real credit to their family, and
as you can imagine, life has never recovered for their parents. If I can help

I was stunned to find out that Mark Frankel had passed away
on 9/25/96. I realised that something was amis when I watched the movie "For

I use to catch Mark in Sisters, in loved him, it was that
early signs of The Prince of the City coming out in him. I see now the great
similarities in the two characters, at least how they dress and look. I got more
interested in him in the series Kindred:The Embrace, when it was first airing.
Then my fiancee ordered and receieved the Kindred tapes off Ebay and I really
got into the Kindred way of unlife. Mark plays Venture perfectly, I think
amoungst the friend my man and I rollplay vampire, he is the image we have for
Venture. Or at least he is for me. I have become addicted to Rollplaying
vampire, Kindred life seemed so restricting and having a Prince to obey by
really ticked me off. My vamps in my story don't have this but I got use to it
and now I love both the game and the show. I whimper everytime it hits me that
Mark is no longer with us. I was told about his accident and passing on my
highschool graduation night, to say the lease it put a damper on the evening
events. It was shocking, that someone that beautiful and talented
